Guidelines for Authors
Comprehensive guidelines for submitting manuscripts to the Maflekumen Community Health and Research Journal (MCHRJ).
Important Notice
Article submission is free of charge. However, if accepted, authors must pay a publication fee to cover the publication costs.

Manuscript Format Guidelines
All manuscripts submitted (Microsoft Office Word) to this Journal for publication must follow this format
Cover Letter
This is a letter that will be signed by all authors declaring that the submitted manuscript has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. The cover letter should equally indicate the name and address of the corresponding author (a sample of this letter is available on the journal website to be downloaded and completed).
Title Page
This page should indicate the title of the study, the authors, their affiliations and the corresponding author and contact information (email address and phone number). The title should not exceed 20 words count.
Abstract
The abstract should be structured with the following subheadings: Background, Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion and keywords.
- • Word limit: Must not exceed 250 words
- • Font: Times New Roman with 1.5 line spacing
- • Keywords: Provide at least 05 key words
Body of the Manuscript
It should indicate the following parts: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and Limitations.
- • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size
- • Spacing: 1.5-line spacing
- • Word limit: Should not exceed 4000 words count
Methods
This section should not exceed 800 words and should include the following sub sections:
- • Study design
- • Study area
- • Sample size determination
- • Eligibility criteria
- • Data collection
- • Data analysis
- • Ethical considerations
Results
Include a maximum of 4 tables and 03 figures. Tables should be formatted without vertical or horizontal lines and use 1.0-line spacing.
- • Table titles: Should appear above the table
- • Figure captions: Should appear below the figure
- • Reporting: Should be very brief and avoid ambiguity
- • Avoid: Repeating data from tables in text
Conclusion
It should be in a blocked paragraph.
Limitations
Clearly state the limitation of the study if any.
Acknowledgements
Summarize to a maximum of 03 lines, focused on sponsors, institutions and participants.
Funding
Declare if the work was funded.
Conflict of Interest
Declare if there is any conflict of interest.
